About this site
We are Mac and Wen, and this is where our travelling ends up. It began as somewhere to put the writing and has been growing odd little travel-shaped tools ever since — packing lists that remember what you actually take, a map of places worth going and things worth doing when you get there. There is no roadmap. Something becomes annoying enough on a trip, and a few evenings later the site does it.
None of it is hand-written, either. The whole thing is vibe coded: we describe what we want, an AI writes it, and we argue with the result until it behaves. That is worth admitting up front, because it explains both how quickly features appear and why one occasionally does something daft.
Want something added?
Please ask — it is the main thing that decides what gets built next. Email macnwen@gmail.com, or if you would rather file it properly, the code is all out in the open at github.com/maciekolejnik/macandwen-astro and issues are welcome there.
The same address is the one to use if a limit is in your way, something looks broken, or you would like your account and everything on it removed — see privacy for what is stored.
A small favour
Since the code is public and an AI wrote most of it, somebody will eventually notice something that ought to be locked and is not. If that somebody is you: please tell us rather than test it. There is nothing here worth taking — a few packing lists, some photos of hills — and on the other end of it are two people who will have to spend a weekend putting it back together. Send whatever you found to macnwen@gmail.com and we will fix it, gladly and with thanks.
